Just noticed a crack in my front brake fluid pot as I washed her tonight. Thought front was a bit soft. Just as weather turns to. Spent all dam weekend rebuilding her too. Ffs.
Quick thirty mile trip out and all good. Still not massively pleased with brake set up but discs are showing age and pads not amazing so I'll change them soon and then maybe look into different master cylinders if still not happy.
Ive never seen a crack before on the reseviour brake pot. Always interested in other peoples issues. Was at almeria 2 days ago, a guy beside me of Belgium origin, was putting his tyre warmer on the front, i noticed he was struggling. Bottom line too much fluid in the bottle, told him too take fluid out of pot.. Next day on track same scenario, but different guy, braked at 130mph, the brake seized on. Broken pelvis, broken vertebrae, broke collar bone, 8 ribs broken. Its essential to check your brakes. So good to see you have done the perfect maintenance.
Ouch . As I use her everyday I tend to check her over a lot instead of being complacent. I have started to drop hooks with the wife about changing the calipers to improve stopping . Well my love it would mean I was safer oh yeah the brembos sent too much . You know you haven' been out with the girls in a while why don' you sort something ....
