    Maybe I could make a suggestion ?

Theres always a lot of discussion on here regarding exhausts, powercommanders , air filters and mapping etc.

Having looked at the powercommander website today for basemaps it would appear that there a lot more options in terms of what you can buy and fit than what there are maps to download.

Now whilst I realise that each bike is very individual in terms of mapping etc I was wondering if it would be worth building our own collection of maps that have been shared by fellow members ?

Maybe a dropbox / googledrive account where they can be uploaded and shared ?

Charge say £2.50 to access it and that would help with site admin costs etc ?

Its just a thought but id be interested to hear if anybody feels it might be feasible

It's a good idea but IMO due to risks that could occur with sharing maps I don't think it's a good idea to tie it to the forum myself, sharing between yourselves at your own risk is fine but as soon as money or listing it on 1000rr seems to scream out leagal problems too me.
Other mods or Rob may see this different but for me its not something I would like to get involved in

So how about free and a disclaimer that you must agree to before given access ?

    problem solved?

It's a nice idea however it's not always great to share maps, as if the map is tuned to lean a bike because it's over fuelling to start with and is then put on a bike that is already lean it could cause damage, the base maps on the power commander site as designed to only move the fuelling a small amount hence not being a problem
