Great day on the gixxer. No trouble from it at all as usual. As always good to meet up and put names to faces with other forum members. Great pics Barney and GWS Jimbo!
Yes he was struggling to keep up with me and Jimbo he was doing a bit of suspension work on my bmw Really nice bloke and bloody quick his bmw is pushing out 220bhp My suspension settings were totally changed from my last time on track which was also at Donny and the bike felt horrible (way to soft and felt like it was bouncing round corners ) or that's how it felt (really doing my head in now I need a suspension bloke to spend a day with me on track(could do with a few of us who struggle getting a good set up to share the cost)I don't feel like the suspension company on a trackday can give you the time that's needed to get your set up working right as they normally have that much to do with tyre changes etc. The problem I find with suspension everyone has there own way of doing it good example Parkitt set my fork preload at 8 and Phil Crowe set it at 4 and parkitt told me to run the forks flush with the yokes as all 1000cc should be run like this ,bmw say locate the forks on 3 rings for racing I did both and preferred the forks at 3 rings . Going to spend some time on YouTube to try and understand suspension set up better so I can try changes myself. Cheers to everyone who came to watch especially Colin and Craig who came all the way from Scotland it makes the day so much better and a right laugh big thanks to Barney who took some cracking pics. Some bloody quick lads there as thunder sport racing there this weekend Ron Haslam was there and also Gary Johnson Hope my teammate Jimbo gets better soon we had a laugh on track and when doing 140mph looking at each other down one of the straights was a very funny moment.
I'm out and on way back.... Got to thanks Dave v for all is help, I mean, without him You lot couldn't take the piss out of these photos Proper cast on now! That hurt a bit getting it aligned but docs pleased they got all the bits back in position to mend on its own over time which is cool...
Lmfao, i notice Dave there with his wrist bands on, is he in "fast" group driving up the motorway??????
Barney how do you get your photos nice and sharp and good colours, our seem a little washed out? my wife mate take on her Canon D450, is it just the camera, or filters and after processing? or is it a trade secret lol see what I mean with this one compared to yours/
Lol! I was laughing to be honest as Dave was cracking up taking photos! But in quite a bit of pain at the same time ha
No it reads "desperately needs a shower after a day on track and only a squaddie wash the next day due to temporary cast!" Ha
