An age old question, to drill, or not to drill?

I say drill, especially if you want ones that will work well enough not to bend and break something if the bike lands on them.

I've got some RG aeros - they require drilling the fairing, had a small mishap on the driveway and they took all the damage :)

TBH fitting was easy, you get a bolt with a spike. When fitted in situ it marks the fairing which gives a centre point to drill, - easy peasy!

They generally say protection that fixes directly to the frame or engine are less likely to bend thus potentially provide more protection but on the flip side on most models you need to drill the fairing for them, also in some crash scenarios they might more damage that without ie damage engine mounts.

One other consideration is whether you can remove the fairing without having to remove the bungs, Aero bungs you definitely do!

I can vouch for those R&G aeros too.I have dropped mine twice and an off at Brands Hatch. All I had was a small scuff on the rear tail thats it.Great investment IMO.And when you sell your bike put new ones on so nobody will ever know;)

    Drilled ones definitely!

    R&G Aero's

Top Tip is to use a Cone Cutter not a Holesaw as it gives a much neater and more controlled cut.
