After a lot of pondering I've finally got myself a Gopro camera £259.99 from Argos for the hero3 black edition just got to decide where to mount it . Is the picture good if it's mounted on top of my helmet and do people just rely on the stick on mount .

The stick on mounts are by far the best. Once stuck you ain't getting it off in a hurry.

I have a mount on my helmet, and also on the nose cone of my bike. Both are fine.

Agree with Colin mate the sticky tabs are the best IMO. I found the helmet mounting go for recording everything you see but at speed it becomes a sale and gives you neck ache. I typically mount mine on the side fairing especially for track days.

Use the waterproof back most of the time or you get excessive wind noise.

I also go for maximum frame rate for smooth videos. 60fps is great ;)

If you want it on your helmet chin is the best area, doesn't catch the wind then :)

As long as you mount it on a area that will not vibrate a lot your fine. I have found on the side fairing is good. the best is sticky pad facing back on the side of the front nose

Thanks guys I'm thinking of on the side of the air intake just above the fairing so the camera sits in front of the brake lever

if that's like my first vid that is the best one I have found so far. I have the sucker mount fitted into the rev counter today so I can try it out tonight when I'm out after work with a mate. It's facing backwards so you can see ME lol but will be trying a few different ways tonight
