Just spoke to Dan. He's on the ward now filling his face with food before they stop him from eating. He goes under the knife at 11:00 tomorrow. I've given him all your best wishes on your behalves. I didn't think you'd mind.
got that text from Dan also ken, not heard anything and I'm leaving it to dan to get back to us/me after his op. hopes all gone 100%
I'm sure we'll be the last thing on his mind for a week or two. Bloody bad form on his part, I say, but I'm certain it'll be the case.
Hey guys, Surgery is done. I went into theatre Tuesday morning , intensive care early hours Wednesday where I woke up in agony . Just couldn't get comfortable , tossing and turning was flaring my back up . The morphine drip was shite again so they doubled the dose and it was still not affective. They injected a different drug into me that did ease the pain so they put that on the drip and clicker button. Nothing was taking the pain away so I had to face the fact that I'm in pain , it's not going away so I'm gonna have to ride it out so I bit my lip and went through a couple of days and sleepless nights from hell. So this morning the pain is alot better and they say me upright on he bed So as I sat up pretty well they have taken me back down to a general ward . I have my own room and slaved to bring me what ever I need . I can even get my nuts washed for me if I want ha ha I'll keep you posted Dan
The black tube is a blood drain . There is 1 at the bottom as well . I used to have a big lump on my right side which was from my rib cage being a bit twisted and muscle build up as that side was supporting most of my weight I gotta build up the left side no now and we will be as straight as a die

Nevermind having the nurses take photos for your mates on the fireblade forum, I'd have been curled up in a ball waving the white flag by now I guess that's why they sent Welshies to defend Rourke's Drift and not a bunch of Teessiders Keep your chin up.
