Help !

    Hi guys, if I had a loose battery terminal and went over a bump would the red HSS light and the yellow engine management light come on ?? As it happened to me twice tonight both at low speeds. When I got home the neutral battery terminal was loose, would that of been the problem

    That could well be the issue, tighten it up and take it for a low speed run, see if it cures the problem.

    The 'loose' connection might have become 'no' connection when going over the bump, therefore making the ECU think that power has been cut. If it doesn't fix as @Blade runner 1 suggests above, it might need an ECU reset. (Threads available about procedure)

    I concur with the lads on this. Tighten her up and go for a ride.

    Exact same thing happened to me when I was racing, my bike cut out for a split second a few times with the red hiss light and a few others came on. I just kept going and when I got off track I check the battery and both terminals were very loose... tightened up and not had any problem since

    Your not going to know unless you try it, seems an easy fix to me.

    Poor @Mikey_fireblade hasn't been back due to a flat battery somewhere out in the wilderness:(.

    When they were servicing it they came across a broken coil stick, as the weathers crap I put it on a rolling road he took it to 184mph in 5th gear and there wasn’t a problem, I havnt really been on my bike much but the times I have it’s been fine.

    On the rolling road she was 159.18 bhp at the rear wheel.

    It could of been the coil stick but it also maybe had something to do with my battery terminals as before the rolling road she cut out on me at low speed, when I got home yes the terminals were loose so I tightened them, since I’ve tightened them I havnt seen a problem, I’m also keeping an eye on the terminals every few weeks so I do get that problem again

    Coil would misfire. Battery terminal would cut.. as a rule... the coil may have broken when it was pulled out but not necessarily an issue prior to that.
