Just bought an 05 Blade. When I accelerate reasonably hard then roll of the throttle there's a delayed clicking sound. Literally 1 to 2 seconds after I shut off. The bike runs, sounds and looks amazing but obviously worried. Is it anything to do with Electronic Steering Damper disengaging?

could be the exhaust servo you are hearing, check it by rev'ing in in neutral,
should be able to hear it operating and see if it is making the noise.

    Welcome to the forum

Just a guess a sticky throttle cable? It could be rusty or dry and then your off throttle could make that sort of noise when rolling off throttle ?

Had another listen this morning. When accelerating in 1st or 2nd gear then letting off to slow down it is a continuous rattle, seems to go when engine at full operating temp. I'll check oil later. It's not constant which I guess it would be if it were the cam chain tensioner. Any further thoughts?

Is cam chain tensioner a critical must do now or can it be left for a while?

I would do It now as if it does go it could cause alot more damage costing big £! I had the same sound on my GSXR that was cam tensioner, i left it for a while and the bike shop said once it was changed they are suprised I even made it there it was about to go any min!
