A few of us had a recent brief banter about 'Leccys'.I must say that this even looks appealing And it has a reverse! http://www.motocorsa.co.uk/single_bike_used.php?Bike=EGO&Id=835
Theres a guy here at work is seriously working out if he should swap his 120k mile Blackbird for the BMW electric scooter thing His commute from Docklands to Colchester is just about doable so long as it can be charged in the basement car park here. They certainly are coming along but not quite my cup of tea just yet...I think I'll wait until all fossil fuel is outlawed by President Khan
Fair enough. I feel at the moment it's the 'novelty value' that appeals to me. Sort of like an inter-cultural relationship - expectations are great - reality disappointing. (NOTE: Before the knockers criticise and downvote me for that analogy, I speak with the experience of having been in such a marriage.)
The political "elite" will probably ban it just after you have bought it. That is once they realise that the "eco friendly" woodchip biomass required to produce the electricity to run the thing is striping the planet of forests and adding trillions more tons of CO2 to the environment than their poxy computer models predicted. Still, lots of lovely taxpayer subsidies will be quaffed in the meantime, eh. Then it will go the way of diesels and wood-burning stoves. These people are mad beyond belief. (and if GCHQ are reading this - then find yourselves something useful to do).
this is my winter job , but I agree with you , seems crazy cutting trees down to burn for gov hand outs
