Well the bike is still looking sweet, have you got any plans for mods on it? Can I ask how are the plastics standing up to stone chips etc?
I'm thinking of powdercoating the wheels white and fitting blue iridium db screen and light covers. Also looking at rear sets but shout on £££ after buying our first house. Open to sugestions for mods... I will fit a power comander soon as I can afford one, oh and a rear hugger when I find a white one
Welcome to the gang mate, work this out, Hondo is 15 mile from where I live and you are not much more than 15 miles from my sister in Devon? Makes no difference to anyone? How did the bike end up down there, last I heard Hondo was still trying to get a buyer? So you purchased from sleaford did you? It was originally silver, did you get the original fairing kit? From what I remember on the forum the Rothmans was a Chinese kit that I have to say looked very nice.
I drove 500 miles is how!!! Yeah it was silver and he did have that kit but although offered it, I left it to keep the price down a little. I could see from the silver that it hadn't been down the road, and love my race reps, which is why I drove so far. This was my previous rep, a 99 R1 Was a great bike Love the look of the Rothmans kit though and looking forward to getting out on it
Though I live close to Hondo I never met him in the flesh, it was in the early days of the forum. I can say though that the bike was not dropped and the race rep was a choice to change. I thought of buying it when he offered it on the forum, it,s a very good low mileage example. It still looks great I see!
I really miss it at the moment if in honest. Was much more comfortable for my long legs and the power delivery was more brutal. Which I like. In going to order a throttle kit today though which should improve things as I struggle to get wot on the blade. Sure I will warm to it as the weather improves.
