Well rather belatedly the Blade is here.

Broke my wrist and collarbone at Portimao over Easter so I had to wait until they could deliver it.

5 weeks before my cast comes off...

Oh man, I know exactly how you feel. I bought a brand new blade this year, I just run it in and had the first service done and then I broke my leg and can't ride it!

What happened at Portimao? I've been there and think its the best track I have ridden

Best track I've ridden too this was my second time there. Fantastic place.

It was the last session of day 2 out of 4 and we had missed a lot of time due to rain. It had dried but started spitting while we were out. I thought was still ok but then highsided.

If you know the track, after the long looping left hander around the circular building you come over the brow through a fast right and then have a tight right up hill. Turn 8 below.

Bike came off better than I did. Just a worn crash bung, broken peg and paddock stand bobbin.

Sounds like you weren't so lucky, how long before you're back in the saddle ?

I was lucky in the fact that it wasn't my bike that I wrote off (courtesy bike from Dealer) but ended up with broken leg and fractured pelvis.

I was supposed to be leaving tomorrow with 2 mates to go back to Portimao! They are obviously still going without me.....lucky gits!

But I have already booked up to go back in September :)

I have been told 2-3 months before I can ride

True about the bike, 2-3 months could be worse I suppose fractured pelvis sounds nasty though. At least I can walk.

I'm booked to go to The Ring a week after the cast comes off and I've got to do 600 miles and get it serviced before then. Gonna be tight but I'm hopeful.

Next Euro trip is Le Mans in August.
