I was on my way to work, filtering along as you do, going past stopped traffic on my left when a van decided to do a U turn just as I came up along side him, of course I hit the brakes, it was raining yesterday morning so that didn't do much, so it was the old American Football shoulder barge into the side of his van, I bounced off and fell on the oncoming lane flat on my arse in the rain.
He was apologetic enough and everyone kept asking if I was alright, all I could do was think about my poor CB500. Ambulance turned up within 20 seconds of me coming off as he was coincidentally going to another job but had to stop when he saw me, I didn't need him.
Anyways called my insurance who were crap, so I took matters in to my own hands and called the company that owns the van and we have settled out of insurance.
Two indicators and a bent left pedal.

Could have been worse... I could have been on the Blade

Lol, yeah thats what I thought, not even any fairing damage at all, no scrapes on the exhaust after it hit the deck and the bike was laying on it.
As arthurbikemad says, what a great bike the CB500 is.

Now let me see, where shall I stick all these sponges ;)

Glad all is ok mate. Same sorry old story though isn't it? All drivers should be made to do 6 months on 2 wheels before being allowed to drive something with 4.
