Is going for abs worth the hassle, And do blades still suffer from oil consumption?

Hi Ade welcome to the forum.
I believe oil issue is long gone.
ABS is another matter, the thread is very long. Some peeps are happy with ABS some are NOT. Personally I have ABS and I'm one of the happy ones.

Hello Ade. Welcome to where Blade riders dwell...
You gotta love a V4 ! I personally have never ridden anything with abs ! Mine is a 2006 and i think thats when they got it just right ! Perfect build quality and surgical handling and an engine that screams for abuse.. Im gonna sound old fashioned now and probably stir some people up but abs on bikes !? Whats that all about... I started riding back in the early 90s before such trickery. When machines were still raw and men were men. Brakes were pretty shite and you were lucky if you had more than 2 pots but its the era heroes were made. None of this new fangled abs and traction control and rider assist nonsense. Man, machine and a death or glory attitude ! Maybe with time i will end up on something with abs and wonder how I've ever got round a bend before or still alive but until that time I'm gonna stay a purist and love the rawness and a lil bit of "roll the dice" attitude. Good luck and enjoy your blade my friend :)
