Did you buy new or second hand? Double check all the connections as the lcd display takes power from the coils

It was new dude. I didnt know the lcd took its feed from the coils. The bikes running perfect so i wouldnt suspect that it is a poor connection on the coils, but reluctantly ill have to strip it down again to check. I also double checked that they all fitted snugly with a nice click, but you never know. Many thanx

Most common cause for LCD failure is a poor earth.

    Where is it earthed?
Check the earth is good and not on the rocker cover or something like that which has a gasket. Its quite easy for us to tell when the unit is back wether a good earth contact was made as one component on the board heats up and changes colour.
When under load the amp draw is quite high, higher than you would expect so this is why a good earth point is needed.
Also, going to the frame without exposing the bare metal is not good either.

If the earth is all good then send it back for a replacement including your proof of purchase from the store you got it from :)
