Hello, recently ive been having problems. I assume its the quickshifter as when im riding along at low speeds in any gear the ignition randomly cuts. An example of what it feels like is " Being in 6th gear and trying to change to 7th. The ignition still cuts out even if you not changing up". Feels just like that.

Its done it rarely but on one occasion i cracked throttle open in 2nd during an overtake and it did it. So its becoming dangerous. Anyone had this happen? Or any known issues/fixes?

Im going to adjust the sensor and drop senstivity by 10% and see if it works.

What settings you guys have you killtime sensitivy etc? If i still have this issue i will take it back to who set it up. Although its been fine all summer.

Is there still a small amount of rotational movement on the rose joints? Have you fitted new rearsets and lever at different height or new boots, causing your foot to rest against it?

Had the same issue with mine when I had the standard gear change on, its like having a automatic gearbox you get the jolt but not the next gear. I dropped the sensitivity down but this caused problems between 5th and 6th when changing kept getting a false neutral, so I bit the bullet and got some nice rear-sets with a lot less play.

Mine did this on overtakes and it was the vibrations doing it, Arthur turned it round slightly and tightened up a bit ( I'm sure he could give you more info but it's all good now)

Just seen all your responses, Thank you all, i shall check everythings tight this Wednesday and maybe drop sensitivity down a tad during my day off. I do recall there being a bit of play on the rose joints. As for the boots rubbing, i have made sure my foots well away and its done it so its not that. The joys of motorbiking, always something to fix...

Ill let you know how it goes.

Managed to take a look at it today, all seemed tight but i took it apart and refitted just to be sure. I also changed sensitvity down from 50% to 40%. I also changed it to compression only instead of compression and extention as i prefer race shift.

Took it for a 45 minute test ride and it was bloody cold but its cured. So im a happy chappy. Just out of curiosiy what are your settings set to on your hm quickshifters?
