Hp4 or fireblade sp

Hi everyone, new member here.

I currently own a 2006 cbr600rr and I'm looking to upgrade to a 1000cc bike. Been looking at a lovely fireblade sp tt 2016. I've also been looking at other bikes, namely a 2014 hp4.

Question is, do I go for the low mileage sp and save myself a few grand on the hp4 or go for the hp4?

I suppose I'm looking for advice and opinions from people who own the sp or even the hp4. Is the hp4 worth the extra few grand??

I did test ride an sp back in 2017 and loved it but there's also something about the hp4 that makes me want one. Never ridden one though or even an s1000rr.

I appreciate this is a honda forum and there may be some bias but all opinions are welcome. Thanks.

 

Hi and welcome to the forum - read up on pre 2017 ABS issues before making your decision if applicable to the bike/s in question.

EDIT - was meaning for the Fireblade not the BMW (no idea if there are any issues with it’s system or not)

SP all the way, but if you're talking HP 2017 on, it would be a harder choice
