I'm busy getting my house ready for sale and selling the house and garage contents. My eldest daughter moved to Brisbane last September and I've been planning a trip to New Zealand. The plan is to fly to Brisbane in June with my youngest daughter, have three weeks with both of em around Brisbane, Barrier Reef and Sydney. Youngest flies home and me and eldest are doing a roadtrip between Cairns and Tasmania until early September. Then we fly out to Auckland to pick up a bike and a van to tour the North Island and when the weather improves, the South Island. If they don't let me stay in NZ or Oz, I'll be back in 9 to 12 months. Almost everything is for sale. House contents including numerous pine furniture, 42" TV, Bosch washing machine, DVD player and PVR. Most of my bikes will be gone soon, with just the Midnight Star cruiser to sell in June. The GSX project will be stored near Bolton. If anybody fancies meeting up before end of June gimme ashout?
Enjoy the adventure, the only things you regret are the things you wish you had done, and didn't. Mike.
Sounds like you've got a big adventure ahead of you. I'd love to do the same but work and family will mean that's a retirement dream only. Wish you all the best. My folks have just got a holiday caravan over Hastings way so be good to say hi when I fly over on the bike. Pm me a number and I'll give you a buzz, likely to be sunny Sunday am's! What bikes do you have for sale, I've always got space for one more. Cheers
You're still aloud to come on ere with updates ya knows, traveling or not! It'll be a great experience and something I'd love to do tbh.
I have a J reg VFR400NC30 for £1300ish and a CBR600F2 for £900ish. Both will have new MOTs. My 1300 Midnight Star will be for sale, but keeping it until June. Not sure what it's worth as I have committed the cruiser cardinal sin by riding it instead of just polishing it!!!
All the best MW, sounds an amazing adventure and a once in a lifetime experience with your girls. Enjoy!!
Hope you have a great time. Missus and me have said that if we had met earlier we would have probably buggered off to Oz.
Good luck with the trip sounds like it's gonna be a big adventure, why don't you do a blog of it with a few photos and videos thrown in? Am sure a few of us would be interested to see how you're getting on and what you've been upto.
Ah dude.... Living the dream !! Good luck to you both.. It'll be an awesome adventure !! You get a salute from me for that one...
