    Good Afternoon All,

I came across the forum when researching replacement LED Bulbs for the headlight and ended up having a bit of a browse, liked what I saw and registered.

I've got a 2010 HRC Colour Scheme Blade. Whenever I punch in the reg for insurance quotes, it always comes up as an ABS Model (and the log book says it is as well) but the dealer I bought it from (Chiswick Honda) specifically stated there was no ABS when i bought it (perhaps the previous owner removed it for track? etc)

I've done very little to it since I bought it 2 years ago, all credit to the original owner/owners. I added the HM Superlite, R&G Engine Covers & Hel Lines. The Yoshi bits, Carbon Hugger etc were all from the previous owner/'s

I'm fortunate enough that the Blade is a fair weather bike and stays indoor during the wet season. My main Road/Commuting bike is a Yamaha MT10 SP, some ask why its not the other way round - because the MT10 has got all the bells and whistles and creature comforts like Cruise Control, Semi Active suspension & heated grips etc.

I'm a road rider on the whole, have done two track days on the Blade and would love to do more, but they're muchos dinero and the mortgage, maintenance and upkeep of other vehicles leaves me skint :(

    Anyway, enough rambling.

Thanks for having me, I'll be more of a lurker than a poster but its rude not to introduce yourself.

    Welcome!

Probably for the best that the ABS has been removed!

    Great 2 bike garage there.

    Welcom to the club.
The beauty of the 2008+ is it still has decent street bike capabilities and othe than protection from elements (rad guard, longer hugger and fender extender) I found it needs no performance tweaks or upgrade (other than the battery!!!).
I would get to the bottom of ABS / non ABS issue just in case it is as tuktuk mentioned and if you need to inform your insurance. And of course I am sure a brake fluid change service costs a lot less on non ABS

Agreed on all! I'm currently using it to commute as the weather is nice. Less thirsty than the MT10 so cant complain!

It'll need the 16k valve clearance service soon so will get to the bottom of the ABS question when it goes in.

Another giveaway of the ABS model was the undertray thing. They are enlarged to house Honda's russian roulette equipment.

    20200424_223223.jpg

They could have also gone to the effort of changing this though.

Also think you would have a space on the dash warning lights for an ABS light or that might just be on the 12 plus dash?

I dont know enough about it so I'm largely talking out of my shitter o_O
