All of a sudden I can't post pictures from my iphone or ipad. Safari just spins round and round and chrome and skyfire just crash when I try it. This could well be an ios8 thing, but that was working fine up until yesterday evening, or is anyone else having similar issues.
I did the update on this here iPad Air thingy.......works fine. However the wife's ipad 2 is hav,in a hissifit at the moment....I hav,nt told her i,ve done a download yet!
Right, it looks like an ipad2 thing. Loads of complaints about it being sluggish and app crashes after the update. Just downloaded the iOS 7 firmware to downdate it but because my last back up was from ios8 it says it's incompatible so I'm stuck with it until Apple admit it's wrong....... No breath holding then. It doesn't explain why my 5s is playing up though. My advice to those with ipad 2 is to hold off on updating to 8 until they sort it, or don't bother at all as even Apple seem to be implying the 2 is near expected 'end of life'.
I'm convinced when Apple release a major firmware update, they add code to make older apple products run like a bag of shite trying to force people to think their product is out of date / due for an upgrade My iPad 3 worked flawlessly until the ios8 update, now it has a jerky response on web pages, keyboard stutters and has a delayed response when typing
I've downgraded mine to IOS 7.1.. works great now. Very buggy and jerky, i'll wait until if the update fixes the bugs for the iPad 2 and 3.
Well the iPad air is pi55in around now it,s got 8 installed......how can I down grade back to 7 guys?
You need to do it manually mate, download the ipsw of iOS 7.1, then alt click in iTunes while pressing restore. It will ak you to look for the ipsw then click on it, restore it....job done.
Yes mine is same no pics wish I had not updated now plus I am shit with comp engines no probs but electronics I am shite
Anyone here read "Doubledutch"..............cus that's what this is to me! WTF is ipsw of iOS 7.1 ?????????????. In laymans terms fella
You can, for a brief period of time, download the ios7 firmware, the Ipsw, from Apple. This is the one that was over written when you updated to ios8. Then you can restore via iTunes to ios7. However. This means that you're restoring your iPad to the last back up you made of it. If that was a long time ago you'll be losing stuff that's happened since. If, like me you've backed it up since you upgraded to ios8 then the ios7 ipsw will be incompatible and it won't restore. So that's me stuck until, and if, they sort it.
