20SSK-INT-SHO1 for the FRONT FORK PISTON KIT
    20K-FCV-SH07 for FLOW CONTROL VALVES

Would love to get the cartridges but they would be wasted on my talents!

One of my seals is weeping slightly and needed a full fork service anyway so thought way the hey, this bike is a keeper splash the cash!

    Oil and dust seals £41.38
    Fork oil £19.49
    Piston kit £229.99
    Control Valves £75.00
    Springs £85.01
    Fitting £150.00
    Total £600.86

    Now using the man maths
Would need to do the seals done anyway so minus £210.86
They will do this on Monday (most other places can't fit me in till Jan) so two weeks Public travel costs so another £140 saved

so it is actually costing £250 - this is the Price quoted to the wife :D

Where are you getting it done mate?

Not to put a dampener on things but I'm getting the same done for quite a bit less.

Just to add the work is being done at PDQ near Slough.

The guys there seem to really know their stuff.

is the fitting for bring in the forks only, or for them taking the forks out of the bike and putting them back in?
I would have though it would be a bit cheaper, but if your happy, and happy with the service and set up, then thats more important than a few quid ;)

    dampener :)

I've got few quotes and they're all ball park. Do you mind me asking how much you got quoted?

For me the difference is the bike is out of action whilst the seals are leaking and this cost me an arm and a leg to use public transport to work. Also PDQ are a stone's throw away so logically its easy.

    edit *logistically

Thanks Jim, I will come back with a review.

My local is very good, perhaps not the cheapest but I trust em and they give good service. Above all, cos they're are close, I can drop the bike off and get the wife to pick me up and spend some quality time with her and kids:)

    Hi Slick.

If it is a roll in roll out job, then to be honest you won't be far away from that price.

I was quoted £400 for the piston kit, spring, flow control valves, and oil.
Plus £38 for them picking the fork up and re-delivering them.

So if you add in a set of seals and the roll in roll out service it's actually not too bad.
