Leather care

    just brought a leather jacket and was wondering what to get the flies of it and is there any care products you use?
    And I don’t mean your face cream nigel;)

    I use Motul M3 Perfect Leather cleaner (get mine from sportsbikeshop).. It doesn't make the leather too shiny and smells good too.

    That’s one of the things I’m worried about, I didn’t want to change the colour and it is a Matt soft leather

    I've not tried it on a matt leather finish, but it's more of a liquid/cream that might soak in - but I'd test it on a small area that wouldn't annoy you if it went shiny first. I'd probably ask the place you bought it from for advice too.

    Or baby wipes ,,,,,,,, if they can shift sh#t from a baby's arse they'll shift dead flies off leathers :D

    They can take paint off wheels :eek: I used to get slight orange marks of the repsol ones :eek:

    I wonder if the orange is more susceptible to lifting? I had dull bits all over the wheels...everything seemed to take it off!

    Back to leather, I hardly ever clean mine ,,,,, Unless I'm meeting Lozzy ;)

    Is the jacket treated Bazza as in water resistant? A lot of leathers are now...if that's the case then a warm damp cloth gently dabbed on the flies should be ok and get them off. That's if you don't want to buy anything specific. I use that method on everything I've got usually once a year if I can be arsed and it all comes off

    I must admit I used to use soapy( spelt right;)) water on my visor but now I wouldn’t be without motul visor cleaner now

    Interesting because I do use meguiars leather on my car but never gave it a thought for jacket:)
