It's going to be an exciting season. I love this guys riding style, smooth and settled. It was fun watching him battle with the others on his ducati and he showed us a glimpse of what we can expect when he jumps on the honda. Anyway, we have to support him, he's Honda property now :)

And I for one cannot wait, a great season ahead of us with new teams, new riders and a Repsol Honda team with two great world champions side by side. Be all smiles at the moment but that rivalry will be bubbling away......Doohan and Criville Style!!!!

    This week's MCN:
    • MotoGP: Lorenzo is loving his ‘new Honda family’

Can't wait to read it when my subscriber copy arrives later today!

I'm getting so wound up I could be a candidate for 'Lorenzo' Chinese fairings! I'm sure some wise entrepreneur will latch on to it!!:)

Knowing the character of Chupa Chups, I am sure that there will be scandals and conflicts between him and Mark.

Cheers for the original post. Can't stand the guy myself but you can't deny the talent he has.

I was in the same boat. I warmed to him during his latter part of the Ducati contract. His interviews are professional and a recent appearance at a post-season function in London showed more of the person than the self-centred icon he is tainted with. Whilst not a fair comparison, if I had to choose an hour long interview between Lorenzo or Ianone I'm going Jorge!!:)

Lorenzo was pretty good on that recent BT Sport studio thing they did recently. I warmed to him too

Been a lot of Lorenzo haters on here in the past 12 month, be interesting to see how many more 'warm' to him now he's on a Honda.

Don't think I heard one positive comment about him since I've been on this forum!

If he starts winning it'll be like when everyone started supporting Liverpool in the 80's !!

I’m not warming to him because he’s seen the light and getting on decent bike. I’m warming to him because he came across as being quite normal on bt sport program and not the charisma lacking numpty that he usually likes to portray. Maybe Honda have had a word with him about his public persona.

I wasn't referring to you personally @Kevin1 :) :DI just used your word 'warm'.

I've always been a fan of Lorenzo from his 250gp days to present and I've let that be known on numerous occasions, but I've heard shite been spouted like......he's past it, he's shit, he's not a racer (my personal favourite) and other such nonsense!

Be interesting to see if people's opinions change throughout the season ;):D

Went into a bookies in the lunch hour - stood next to a man with a handful of twenty pound notes, tattoos all over his face and a white bull terrier on a leash - anyway I put £50 on Andrea Dovizioso to win the 2019 MotoGP title - got 5/1

I think Jorge Lorenzo was also 5/1, whilst Marc Marquez was 5/6 favourite to win.

That could be pretty good odds actually because Lorenzo could certainly be a contender for the title. Marquez is still trying to get fit after his shoulder injury - it could be trouble for him if he comes off again early in the 2019. Is Marquez going to manage another season of 23 crashes after surgery on his shoulder - me thinks not.

Lorenzo can certainly ride - he might even have a good chance .....

    Place your bets ....:D

Fully agree. I've said that from the outset. The guy is going to surprise a lot of people - including himself!!
