The guy in front was going slow for a reason.Thats what you get for showing off.IMO.Lucky to be alive.
That's on the Cat & Fiddle in Macclesfield - one of my fav roads not too far from me. Sadly it's ruined by pr1cks like him, having easily preventable accidents - meaning they had to enforce a 50mph limit and install average speed cameras. Still think it's classed as the most dangerous road in Britain due to accident numbers. Passing on double-whites is just plain dumb on that road for obvious reasons. Looks like the car startled him after the left-hander which meant he fixated on it and the bike followed. He was lucky not to hit it tbh...
I know that he was on a bike and could see past the bikes he was overtaking, but still, overtaking on double whites just pisses the police off and does bikers no favours whatsoever. Total muppet.
Saw it elsewhere, the bloke is a complete prat, and needs to take some advanced training, not helped that he also captured the number plates of his and his mates bikes, and his car, then put it on a public website!
Flame me but I actually don't see an issue with the overtakes on the white lines at all... They are about the safest thing he does.... First one he can see right through both corners, second has loads of room to overtake. IMO white lines are designed for cars, 4 x the size and no where near the acceleration (yes I know it's illegal).... However - what a couple of pricks! Clearly learnt a bit knee down and thought they were heros, hanging back to then tail the bike in front who lets face it, also looks clueless looking at his lines.... Don't think the car spooked him or he stood it up, you can see the corner is going to tighten up, he failed to read the road and balls it up. End of! My bet is they had done a track day or two and thought they were road warriors.... The dude had his hoody on under his 2 piece and didn't even zip it up - amateurs IMO.
I would not disagree with that - their lines in the corners and ability to read the road, and lean far enough to get round the corners were the issues.
Very poor bend assessment, but a lucky lucky bloke, couple of feet from bingoing the car, and managed to avoid being garrotted by the fence or trying his hand at dry stone walling. Sturdy camera though, very impressive, I thought the tree sky tree sky tree sky shots were really nice.
Cheers Pete you just made me laugh out loud. That's also my local route to play on and to be honest I've no idea what the guys were playing at. It's madness posting the video up AGAIN! Still chuffed he missed the car, I've been witness to a couple of head ons in the past and it doesn't make good viewing.
Lol!! Point proven.... Mine was more the point of having zip together 2 piece but not bothering? What's that all about.... Anyone who has seen / had a bad off (usually folk that's been riding a while) would know that doing the most to protect yourself is the most important thing!
Yeah let's fire into a blind bend then sit up.... as jimbo and others said their lines were all over and r6 that was in front, I wouldnt be surprised if he tagged a car in a corner soon for being too far over towards oncoming traffic
