That's the next one booked. I bagged the last remaining space in Inters, although there are 2 others going in Novice. Never done Mallory before, but am praying for good weather after my previous track day.
Have a good day I've done Mallory loads of times, it pretty easy to learn but sometimes difficult to get a good lap in, especially in inters Its very grippy in the wet Rob
I'm booked on this one , white/black/blue 06 blade Aint been for a 3 years so looking forward to it Rob
Mine's an all black '06 Blade. What group are you in? I'm in Inters and there's another 2 of us on road bikes in Novice.
First time at Mallory yesterday, ended up a really good day. Hated it for the first 2 sessions as I was out of my comfort zone, I just couldn't pick my pace up to the same level as most of the others in Inters where I was running around 1:08-1:12. As I got quicker I started to change my thoughts about the track mid day and by the afternoon sessions I started to enjoy myself. When traffic thinned out I started running 1:03-1:04. I'd have liked to get under 1 min, but for my first time there and the fact that I couldn't get my knee down at Goddards with the ever moving vanishing point will have held me back. There was only a couple of moments!, one during an overtake where I overshot my braking point with only a foot of tarmac left to tip in and other where a rider went up my inside and almost wiped me out as I was tipping in clearly committed (he did apologise so all is good). All in all, I went from telling myself that I didn't like Mallory in the morning to loving it by the last session and would definitely go back. Videos to follow.
Glad you ended up enjoying the day, mallory is one of those circuits, especially in inters, small circuit so gets bunched up easily 1 min 4 is good for first time there, you had problems getting your knee down at goddards because that's at Donnington I had a good day too Rob
lol, I meant Gerard's Here's me chasing down a couple of guys I know. Ignore the first lap though as I got slowed down by a Repsol
Probably because the rider of that bike has bigger balls. Good number though as it reads the same upside-down
