Close enough to my territory. Pending weather, I might venture up for a look!

Great day and the rain never came.
My 2nd time here and was consistent with my best time of 1:03.1 last year.
2 of the guys I was with brought CB500's. The one on the left got crashed twice. I also rode the one on the right for the last session and ran out of fuel half way round the last lap. Great fun though, so easy to ride. You just don't get beasted like you do on big bikes :D

Glad you had a good day, I spotted the green bikes out there

    Yep, weather was kind today

We had a bit of a mixed day,I struggled to get consistent laps in, should be sub 1 min but not today, 60.4 secs was my best

    Anyway Muffking, question for ya

My bike (06 blade like yours i believe) overheated today, never done it before, Its not running a fan but that's not been an issue, just had a trickle out the expansion bottle after one session, however, after we packed up and set off , stopped after about 40 ins for a coffee and noticed there was loads of coolant in the belly pan, it certainly wasn't there when we loaded the bikes

Just looking where to start , with the provision it aint a hose or something, I' thinking

    air lock
    fooked radiator cap
    thermostat

    Any thoughts

    Cheers Rob

They are a bit recognisable :D

Re the overheating. It was a hot and muggy day, so I found mine running around 105c when I came in as mine has no fan too. I think it's a combination of it being a hot day and the fact that the water boils when the bike is stood as don't forget that the engine will still be hot and the water is not circulating when the engine isn't running. So if you loaded the bike when it was hot then the water may still be getting hotter and collect in the belly pan.

    Forgot to add.
With those times I assume that you were in the fast group as I'm working on the videos from Inters.

Can't remember as mine's not very load, measured 97 static.
There was a new R1 there, but he had stock exhausts.

    Last video.
Had the camera under the tail fairing filming the rear suspension. My right knee just happened to be in the shot ;)

    Yes mate

It was probably the slowest advanced group I've been in at Mallory, it did make me look faster than I really am though;)

Have you thought about running yours with the thermostat removed

It's possible that it already has been, although I've not checked as it doesn't overheat and I don't know where the thermostat is.
