will a bad battery cause a bike to misfire my 2011 has got a bad misfire below 4000 rpm. above 4000 I can go right to the limiter no problem changed plugs coils made no difference all 4 headers are getting hot a few people on other forums have said it could be the battery which I find hard to believe I thought all the battery done was to start the bike but I could be wrong lol. so before I shell out anymore money anyone got any thoughts on the battery being the problem.

If the battery starts the bike ok its probably not that , if you can test it with a multimeter a good battery should read 12.60 plus volts , and when the engine is running it should be charging @14.4 volts,
