Yamaha and Vinales have announced their Conscious Uncoupling. No surprise there then.

Good to see Fabi Q winning the championship agaisnt a barrage of ducatis with very fast riders.
Despite having had next to no help whatsoever from the other 3 yam riders and having to fight the ducatis and their riders all by himself, he achieved it.

I noticed generally half of the bikes in the top 10 were ducatis, one yam and then the rest.

I was wondering if Yam has built a bike that only FQ can master (as it was the case with stoner, then marquez)?

On the other hand I think ducati has far better electronics (not to mention power) to allow nearly all their riders to win races or be in the top 10. Even a 2 year old one managed to beat FQ to the line.

Wonder what Yam path will take next year

Valentino is out of shape, while Maverick Viñales had his head elsewhere... when his head was in the right place he could deliver.
Last year's vice-champion, Franco Morbidelli, was given the same 2019 bike for this season, being the only non-2021-spec yamaha, and had a bad injury, only came back a few weeks ago, clearly also out of shape.

Let's see what happens next year... I for one expect big things for Morbidelli on a factory bike...

In his day Valentino was a legend and great motorcycling entertainer. Unfortunately he passed his sell by date a few years ago.

must say I would be surprised if ducati does not wrap up the constructor midway next season.
They not only have a power advantage but their electonics & TC must be far more advance. Seeing them setting fastest laps even in the wet can only point to the.

Sad for me as I am in the camp of "let more rider skill & input make the difference"

Ducati are throwing everything at it - how many Ducatis will there be on the grid next year ?

Being a Suzuki man now :D I hope they win (again ! )

Mind you they will have Senhor Marquez to deal with if he can avoid any injuries.

Its been a great season and can't wait for the next one!! Batton handed to Peco now from Rossi but not sure anyone can gain world wide adoration the way that Vale has over the last 20 odd years!
    G.O.A.T. ;)

What would it take for Marc Marquez to be the next Rossi ?
    Is that even possible ?

I have more respect now for Marquez than when he first appeared in MotoGP crashing into everybody. I wonder how he would get on with a Ducati.

And spoiler alert - did I see Track Ladies on the starting grid of this race ? ;)
