Has anyone got one or used one of these cheapy motorcycle lifts from Ebay. Probably Chinese but they are around £320 mark. Any good for a diy mechanic or avoid?

It's expensive but a very worthwhile addition to our garage/shed or even lounge room! Fairly sure some guys have got similar so we'll both be influenced by later responses.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking at, Is it man enough and wide enough for a sports bike held in a paddock stand? I’m only using it for cleaning, small servicing etc. I’m getting to old for crawling around on the floor.
Exactly my concerns also, which is why I'd really like to see one in the flesh. Sure, they are rated at 360 kilo capacity, but safety is governed by the width of contact with the floor. Because stability is paramount, I'd also prefer a couple of 'tie down' points at the rear, although these could be welded on by a competent local workshop. I have the same useage requirement, but I have NO problem crawling about the floor. It's the getting up where I fail!!

I had one but be warned the hydraulic rams are shite, mine started leaking so stripped it down hoping to put new seals in it, but the ram was so badly scored it was pointless. My advice would be to save another £100 and by an Abba Sky lift
I’m sure someone on the Facebook FireBlade owners club group is selling a skylift for £350. If I had somewhere to put it I’d have already bought it, awesome bit of kit.

Yes and with the Clarke you can get spares, but at that price, from personal experience I would say the Sky Lift is far more versatile and takes up much less space With the big tables you still need to use paddock stands to get the wheels off the ramp which is not always easy. The skylift gives the options of either wheel up in the air, or level and the wheels are free. You can also use it to manoeuvre your bike around the garage and tuck it up a corner in the winter.
With Sky Lift don't you need a different adapter for different bikes and not sure you could get the Swing Arm out. I guess the answer is you need BOTH!. (says the man who currently owns 6 paddock stands and a Abba stand).

Yes you do need different adapters for different bikes but they are not expensive, and often fit a number of bikes from the same manufacturer Abba do adapters that fit in the peg hanger bolt holes and allow you to remove the swing arm so no you don't really need both
I have the adapter for SA removal, it bolts into the foot peg bolt holes. You can use this with the SkyLift? Other problem with my Abba, but don't know if relevant with SkyLift, is I can't move the side stand from up to down and vice-versa. Can be a pain and also makes left bottom fairing difficult to remove on some bikes. I guess none are perfect, quick is why many are good. 1jac bike lift is good too.

I have a 1jac, its smart but I think the skylift out does it for working on the bike, the 1jac is smaller so has its benefits, if I was buying again it would be the skylift
Damn. I like that 1jac. It's price is good also - 100 quid cheaper than Skylift! I posted earlier in this thread about the hydraulic ramp, but this 1jac seems a much better alternative. (Will also fit in my lounge room!) I have looked seriously at the Skylift before, but its price is 'sky high' also. I do have the Abba Superbike Stand - with 3 different fitting kits - but there is no means of adapting the Superbike Stand to the Skylift, meaning that there's a totally new purchase. Something else to check at the NEC.
