Toying with the idea of a carbon fibre rear mudguard instead of the Repsol....? Opinions?

I agree with the idea. I have purchased a carbon rear from a forum member but not yet installed. The reason being - probably as you're thinking - is that the OEM hugger is a bit 'out there' (and with respect, more so with the Repsol scheme) and makes the rear look quite bulky. The only reason I haven't fitted mine is that I need a longer screw to fit through the carbon and the chainguard lug because the carbon mounting point is a bit thicker and doesn't have quite the flex of the OEM plastic.

Lozzy's looks great. A much nicer profile than the one on the 'overdone' red bike.

Also, I think that's one of the few pics we've seen of Lozzy's bike clean!;)

Ricky, I had an 09 Repsol with the repsol hugger and I thought it was a bit too much after a bit. The Honda racing Carbon one is much nicer and highlights the Orange wheels more.

No sorry mate, I didn’t get round to changing the hugger in the end. I then part ex’d The bike. I seen an 09 Repsol at Cadwell with the Carbon ‘Honda Racing’ hugger and I thought it looked magnificent. Those Honda carbon ones are bloody expensive mind.
