I have started a thread on a possible group buy on a Ron Haslam race school if your interested? It looks like the best option (IMO) for a first day and could potentially be a few of us from here going
If you want a track day then find the nearest track as it will cut costs. Have a look on the No Limits site as they are frequently said to be one of, if not the best organisers. Remember, no track is forgiving, they all hurt if you get it wrong
MSVT do evening sessions inc taster sessions as well as a full track day.I did a taster session which was 1x 20 minute stint and I'm hooked.Cannot wait for the next one £££'s permitting.
I went to donington for my first track day with no limits, instructors are on hand to answer questions and ride with you on track to help you learn if needed? You get 7 20 min sessions and 3 groups, if it's your first track day you will be in novice group, which I was in It was a great day, learned so much and only cost £155, not bad for 2 hours and 20 min track time and instructor s Have another booked for early July
Did Snetterton for my first track day with No limits. A good mix of of both lefts and rights. I found one of the hairpins (Agostini tricky though) Going to Bedford Autodromenext Tuesday, not been there before but it is said to be one of the safest. As it is a purpose built test track the runoffs are biggish. If you do go wide the runoffs are mostly tarmac given you the best chance making it through. It’s not too far from you either
depends on your location, are you riding there etc? oulton is awesome but can be a little daunting 1st time out, donny is fast+flowing, but does tend to attract rossi wannabe's,but get a god day and you'll struggle to beat it.Mallory is quite a simple short track, quite good for 1st timers.
