One at 20k and another at 36k....
I have sources
Damn. I guess I will be looking at the pauper's version.
36K would put it in the big league, but I recall a couple of Duke 'Speciale' owners dropping bundles with a quick resale. The way things are going I'll still have my RR4 at the time. Could get £3300 p/x for it I suppose. AND, I could do a @gary1966 and cancel my Daytona!
Makes a 2020 R1M at £22000 a bargain I reckon Nigel
Okay, @Lozzy . I've had a couple of sips of the old Bailey's myself and might be warming to your projection.
Given WSB reports of fielding an 'all new' 2020 Blade, to which we know Bautista is now a confirmed signing, that would mean for such a bike to appear on the grid, an homologation model must be/have been produced or put into production. On that basis, and one which @derchef will probably agree, the 36K model (the SP version?) could well be the show pony. Still over the top as far as Honda pricing goes, but it might well be a 'jaw dropping' bike.
But then a conundrum flies into the enthusiast's face. Would you drop 36K on a 2020 bike that in all likelihood will lose ten grand in the first week, OR, would you consider a mint RC30/RC45 that is guaranteed to hold its value?
There's no way I'd pay that for the new bike, unless Honda pull something really special out of the bag. If I don't like the look of it and it only cost 20 grand....I'd still prefer the 2020 R1.
I´m know really well what i can AND what i cannot say ...
But , if all the hype is about "winglets" , will may thinking different.
Yep, I fully understand that @derchef , and that's why I posted this:
There will always be conflicts when a person drops teasers without concrete information. I am sure you will help us out with some good info when you're able. Cheers!!
so when does it/will it surface if it exists.
I was only teasing - trying to provoke a response ( maybe a few pictures with that funny blocky paintwork that they use for when testing secret models )
Yeah I know. We attacked him from all angles but nothing worked!!
If the SP version is around 36k Surly it will to expensive to race in superstock 1000cc class just like the Ducati V4R?
I think Honda are aiming more at WSBK
They need to introduce something because the current Fireblade is useless in any form of racing.
Swings and roundabouts mate, they were before and will come again. Thats why we all love them!
I’d be interested to know when the new bike would be released in October
I think it did OK in OZ. ...also in endurance racing....it took the 1199 4yrs to get anywhere and if we went by reasults we would all be on zx10rr
Yeah, the Penrite Honda won the Oz championship last year and is currently leading the series with one race to go for 2019.
Some could say that it's 'only' Australia, however there is still factory support for the Yamaha and Kawasaki teams.
Also fair to say that WSB has seen recent improvements with both Andrew Irwin and Xavi Fores.
Fact remains though, the bike continues to under perform in comparison to progress made by other manufacturers.
You mean BSB?
Of course. I watch too much TV but don't take note of what I'm watching.
Unless it's Love Island.
Wondering how true these articles are about the 2020 Fireblade?
