    Hello,

Just ordered a new fireblade in HRC colours with ABS. Currently running a GSXR750 and after a test of a 'blade yesterday ordered one straight away (especially with the tempting 0% offer at the moment).

Can't wait to take delivery in two weeks.

Anyone know if I can fit a rear hugger to the ABS version? Honda and a few other sites suggest not but I can't believe this would be true.

Looking forward to getting some tips from the forum.

    Cheers

Enjoy it mate. The hugger does fit, a few on here have done it no problems.

    Welcome !

It does indeed fit and you can get it to sit flush, I remember saying I was going to take some pics of the spacers I used from the Honda parts catalogue to get it to sit straight.

The only thing you need to be careful about is taking a passenger as the clearance between the ABS control box under the seat and the hugger will be pushed to its limits with a passenger + a pot hole.

Resulting in either a broken hugger or maybe worse.

Without a passenger though I think/guess you'd be fine. That's what I've settle on with mine anyway :)

Thanks for the tips guys - I think a hugger is a must if I can fit one which it sounds like I can!

Seems the hugger fits fine, just reduces clearance if you have a pillion or fly over bridges, suspension hits the reduced clearance from the lower undertray.

Pretty good for my 1st evening.

    I'm jealous!! Enjoy.

Cool - I don't do pillion riders. Or more to the point I don't think my mates will risk it... ;-). Therefore I should be just fine with the hugger!
