    Bollox it's a shite system...I've broke the pods...my ex broke his and I've spoke to numerous people who've had issues with them and the system.
    The Arai is the most returned helmet to dealers in terms of people having issues with it....fact.

    @Mattie660 , you are a living legend.

    You have finally put to rest the conundrum I've suffered for years by explaining the reason for my disassociation of wife number one.;)

    They have changed the visor system on the newer rx7-v So you pop the side pods off to change the visor.
    Very easy now lozzy, also the pods are smaller but doesn’t make much difference to how bloody noisy they still are.

    Just trying to change the visor...I ended up never using it outside of daylight and just left the dark visor in :(
    Also...Im clumsy and drop my lids quite a bit and I've found that apart from the odd dent/scratch the shoeis remain intact whereas the last time I dropped the Arai all the bits on it virtually exploded...that's when it got kicked in the bin :D

    I bought the HJC RPHA recently and everything about it is better than my RX7V, it’s quieter and lighter and the ventilation is awesome.

    ARAI have a lot of catching up to do to other manufacturers I think, especially with the RX7V line which is supposed to be the top of the line lid

    My mate had a HJC and his bike fell over in his van on to it and it split the helmet
    So don’t fancy one of them

    Bet it wasn’t a top end rpha11 or 10+? I’ve come off and literally bounced down the road in hjc and it actually fairer better than my arai so wouldn’t be put off by your mate being unlucky
