I'm after a new lid. My parents and wife are contributing so money won't be an issue.. I want the best protection I can afford. Interested to read what helmets people use and any reviews greatly appreciated :)

Used to have arai's but prefer shoei's more now have got the nxr model marquez rep, quality helmet and vision is good and noise is less than an arai

On my 2nd Shoei X-Spirit II here Daz, first one did very well protecting my head after I 'Stepped Off' at over a Ton so can certainly vouch for their safety!

The NXR is more a Touring Lid so should be quieter and a tadge more comfy maybe but with a slight weight penalty.

It fit's me better it's very snug. The ventilations better for me, it's just as light if not lighter the visor aperture is huge with a cut out in the visor for the pinlock to sit in so no more rubbing against the seal Can't comment on noise as use ear plus all the time. Haven't used at high speeds yet to compare on comfort, buffeting etc. Side plates have better (easier) adjustment to adjust the visor seal.

I think the Xspirit 2 does better at Sharp testing if that's your thing.

    Would recommend trying one.
