    Hi All,

Longtime Blade owner, since 2000. 929,954 and RR6 (and dozens of other bikes along the way)........until this week and some lowlife scumbags nicked it from outside work.

So downside is the City of London Police failed on every count to stop the van it was hauled into, even though witnesses dialled 999 has it was happening, and it's not coming back, thats clear.

Upside is a new Blade is needed fast, train commuting has already sent the blood pressure rising since Monday.

So looking for a 09-11, and would not mind having an ABS model.

One last kick in the lower region, after 35 years of commuting into London, my first at fault claim has resulted in my insurer already stating they will not insure me again!!! Thanks KGM.

Thanks Jimbo, well history tells me these bikes are tough, normally keep them till they start getting to dear to run, history shows me that normally between 80 and 100K, then they start sounding a bit leggy in the motor, but to be fair, mine never see in inside of a dealer, so they get 6K oil and filters, 12K filters and 32 on plugs, never once checked a shim............never once blown an engine...something there for those that get screwed over on a 16K service price. Always use Castrol 10/40 semi and Honda filters.

i think at 80 - 100k who gives a sh!t! it's clear you've had your money's worth and doing something right!! so just all commuting or out at weekends etc also?

as tucker said, (but think didnt realise you dont have a bike at the mo) there is a ride out on 29th but you may not be in the saddle by then.

Thanks for the offer, always up for a rideout, maybe will have something by 29th, as soon as the insurers open up making offers then I'll be able to get something, if not then I'll be probably holed up for murder on a commuter train if it goes any longer :D

No, driving to Falconwood and getting one from there...if it was animals being transported it would be illegal the amount of overcrowding, rather take my chances riding blindfolded through traffic than keep this up!
