Hi guys, just picked up a 2010 model abs, managed to get 12 miles on it before rear brake locked and rear pedal was solid, I ride on balls of my feet and don't use the rear brake often bike had just had full service at Honda including brake fluid before I picked it up , welcome to my first fireblade experience

Welcome. Hopefully a quick clean of the caliper will fix the brake issue.

Hello and welcome, did you buy it from a dealer? If so I’d take it straight back and get them to check it out. Hope you get it sorted.

Cheers guys bike was bought private, the previous owner has been great came to help me as I was stranded 80miles from home and has booked bike straight back into honda next week to get it checked out, brake released after cooling down over about half an hour and movement in pedal came back slowly over that time, could've been a lot worse and I couldve been hurt, the fact the bike had just had full service and fluid change was a plus point

Getting bike back Monday, new disc, pads, caliper seals and rear set bracket to move the master cylinder, turns out it was a longer term problem the rearsets were fouling slightly causing the rear master cylinder to be applied , previous owner was a slower rider so never went fast enough to cook the brakes, can't wait to get it out properly then start making it better

    Glad it's sorted.
This did make me chuckle "previous owner was a slower rider so never went fast enough to cook the brakes"
