Just picked myself another project up this afternoon in the shape of a 20 year old Bandit which hasn't been on the road since 2011 so if I can turn it around quickly with minimal outlay I'll have a few more sheckles in the Fireblade fund.

Looks in incredibly good nick. I think they're still good sellers too, not that they're in my field of interest.

Pick up my project next Saturday in Reading; a 2006 aprilia RS50 complete with spare bike and other parts. Looking forward to some serious restoration work, whereas your Bandit looks as if a superficial clean only will make it saleable.

I enjoy purchase stories. How did you score it? Mate or 'right place at the right time'?;)

they are good sellers thanks to the A2 licence , i had one in the early 2000 that very colour, its like a burnt orange, it looks pretty clean as a lot were commuter hacks.

I won’t have it long enough! Lol.

I do genuinely like the Mk1 bandits and should at some point try and score a 1200.

F073F6F8-CDB6-4701-8617-151B4115654A.jpeg Picked a cosmetic project up it looks good in the pics but it needs a complete strip down there’s a fair bit of corrosion behind the fairings . One of the 1st Daytona 675 2006 completely standard.

Nice one. You did say you were after an early one to add to your collection.

Looks good as is, Gary. This 'project' stuff is so rewarding and a great past time.

Yes I have been looking for a while I wanted stock and low owners and miles which I have but the condition behind the fairings isn’t good for a 13year old bike but I will get it sorted, it must be a triumph thing as I have also picked up a street triple R 09 and again the corrosion has set in and it’s only covered 3000 miles.

    Love that stand.

Major flaw with ABBA though is that the Superbike Stand (which I have) is not compatible or adaptable to the lift model you have so it means we have to outlay the full amount for the whole shebang.:(

I got the Constands centre lift from eBay the other year after some numpty advertised all their stock at £85 when that should be the fitting kit price. I posted the links here and on a number of other forums. They didn’t take them down for a few days. Need a lot for the MT10 now. Still got the Daytona/Street Triple kit at home.

The sky lift is easy on your bones no more bending over or working on your knees, the constands are ok but the adapter plates are expensive were the ABBA adapters are £18 or a full kit that will do over 30 different bikes £148
