Hope they work well for you. Sadly I couldn't find any speakers where I could hear stuff over 50mph with ear plugs in. I ended up going back to moulded plugs with built in speakers.
It was a faff fitting the standard speakers so it was much more of a faff fitting these. I listened to my current fave track on the standard speakers then fitted the JBL speakers. The difference is significant. Without boring anyone with all the Hifi bollocks they sound much much better without earplugs in. With earplugs some of that better sound has been lost. I suppose it depends on the tuning of your earplugs but I prefer the new JBL speakers any day. Although these ear speakers can be fitted to any intercom with a 3.5mm jack, Cardo to have special software built in to the headset controller that brings out the full flavour of the JBLs. I fitted them to an Arai RX7V and they fit the cutouts already in the helmet perfectly. Are they worth £85. I’d say yes if using a Cardo system. Note JBL headphone jack is straight but the standard jack is right angled. This didn’t matter to me but it might to you. The last pic shows the foam pads that need removing from the Arai speaker cutouts. I haven't tried them out on the bike yet. Just in the house with earplugs in and helmet on.
I am glad to hear they sound good as I have just brought the new cardo packtalk bold With jbl’s and Did wonder if they are worth the extra money I love them but have only a very very cheap set to compare them against.
