Thought it best to give a small introduction as a new member. I love biking and have been riding for 40 years. Currently living in South Wales with a couple of bikes now stored for winter. I can’t cope with the cold like I used to. Late last summer I purchased a black unmolested 2005 rr. I absolutely love the look and the sound she makes. I’ve browsed here before but posted on a different forum where I’ve been a member for years. Seeing as here seems more concentrated on my bike I thought it about time I joined up. Over Christmas I shall be changing my chain and sprockets and in typical fashion for me, something is bound to complicate what should be a very straightforward install. Looking forward to spending some time here!
Hi and welcome mate Doesn’t look very welcome with no replys Anyway I will start them off Nigel will be along I’m sure and he must have an 05 he will be able to stick his four penny’s worth In ( I mean help) If you have any questions
Hi and welcome! I can’t deal with the cold either; that’s why I have a car for the winter. Look forward to the pics
Hi and welcome, Wes. So yes, I am here, and will mention that I had a mint 2004 which I only recently handed over to dealer as deposit on the new 2020 RR-R SP. The 2005 is a great bike in all respects. For my 'four penny's worth' I advise checking the cush drive rubbers (if high mileage) when you have the rear wheel off. As a seasoned rider I am sure you will have the battery on tender over winter. Honda's H.I.S.S. system does tend to sap it. What were you riding before?
Thank you all for your warm welcome. I’ll post up some pics along side some of chain and sprocket change over. Looking forward to posting here as I’ve a few questions that could help me out. Wish I’d joined here earlier now ! Cheers. (Other bike in garage is cbr900rrs Dream Machine smokin joe. I put 40k on her and she still purrs and looks amazing. I probably spend too much time in my garage !)
Image taken the day she got delivered. It doesn’t look the same now as I have removed the inner wheel decals just leaving the rim ones on, also put a tail tidy on as well.
