FS, I’m lucky that at the office (if we ever go back ) we have an underground secure car park which is within the office block grounds into which you cannot drive without the gate bloke opening up.

it’s got to the point now where you can’t (shouldn’t) leave your bike unattended at all :(

Dont know what I was looking for but on ebay the other day a couple of 12-16 blade dashes come up. A cool grand o_O can't imagine they are that easy to get off quickly without any major damage rendering them useless.

I think it's the newer tft dash units they're nicking not the ones we have on our older blades

BMW TFTs are popular to nick aparently (maybe they come pre-loaded with German Oma porn!). Just pull off the three plastic mountings in seconds with no tools, leaving owner with £1-2k bill to replace!! Not clear what the thieves are nicking them for, can't think it's to re-sell back on ebay! Mate with a 1250GS has bought a metal frame to protect it, and looks like other people have fitted torx bolts to replace the clips - sounds sensible, but scrot thief will probably just lever it harder and cause more damage! The world is a crazy place and there are too many dick heads! Stay safe and keep all your bits intact. Luckily my blade is a 2007 so unless Casio calculators or watches come back in to fashion my display is safe!

Remember the old pull out and face off car stereos... bikers will be walking round Brid carrying our dash’s in our hand bags. They will nick anything. I suppose the bike won’t start without one either?

Yup, God help me - like most of us I need it, anyways joys of having an Oma of a blade, but wouldn't change it until bits start to drop off and it's starts smelling of wee! Always good to learn something new every day, even if it made you ill lozzy! You won't forget that in a hurry, just be cautious who you let it slip to!

Anyway still makes no sense to nick these TFTs - and why aren't they coded to the bike, my indicator ecu on my car is coded so why not a vulnerable tft? Oh well hold on to your bits guys!
