Everyone assumes that if something is new it's ok. ie. a battery. Its not always the case. I had to change a coil 3times last week to find one that worked. All brand new and sealed in a bag in a box.

Yes mine was a brand new battery straight out of box...and almost identical issue as the poster.

    Hi
I was wondering. Did you have the free tracker installed. It's a battery killer.

Although it shouldn't kill a newly replaced battery as quick as that.

This doesn't sound like a battery drain issue. If it was an alarm/tracker etc. then I would expect problems when first starting the bike and OP is saying it is starting ok initially.

Was it completely dead or could you bump it? Just asking because the new 'faulty' battery I had in would start fine and I could ride 4 miles...stop at a shop and in the few minutes I was there it wouldn't then start but I was able to bump it the few times it happened. Popped another new battery in and it was sorted.

Hi bladeguy69. Did you get it sorted? I've got electrical & testing knowledge. Do you have a multi-meter?
