Here you go, 4 day trip summed in just over 4 minutes.

Nothing can prepare you for the speed of the bikes flat out passing 5' from you. The whole assault on the senses; the sounds, smell, feel of the bikes is incredible

Great vid. Looks an awesome experience!

What happened to the Gixer then? (*sniggers*) ;)

Gixer ran out of electricity , generator had failed. Or the battery totally gave up the ghost and would not accept a charge but the recovery dude put a volt meter on it and there was nothing there when bike running to top it up.

Amazingly it had done the 4 days and well over 500 miles before it played up

A BMW S1000r also broke down, starter switch failed at 3 months old - mines done 80k through more bad weather than you can shake a stick at and still works fine :)

I've heard quite a few stories about S1000RR switchgear failures. Not surprised when I saw all the buttons they have. It must be like riding with a laptop on each hand... :D

Probe the rectifier on the Gixer, common problem across the range
