I am going to ditch Sky TV later in the year. I will probably also buy a new TV.
I currently have bt internet, mobile and sport.
    My questions.
Can one purchase a TV with built in Free view and and recorder? My wife like series link etc.
If not, what is the best Free view box with a recording facility?
Thanks. PS I don't want the bt box.

I have the twin tuner Humax box which is ok
Most tv's now have free view built in but not the recorders.

FWIW all Panasonic TV's have a USB HDD record feature. You just add a USB HDD and it lets you set recordings in the program guide and pause live TV via the remote. The downside is that the TV has to be on, where as a set top box can do it in standby.

Why not ask BT for their BT TV Youview box. We have one, they are just as good as a Sky box (I don't know about Sky Q)

Skyq is very good but if your ditching sky then it's no use to you.

As per Muffking's post about Panasonic having the ability to record stuff I have a Sony that can also record to usb. Never tried it though.
