    I also heard rear suspension broke but loads of chinese whispers , If the vid is here or on youtube people are going to look . Really bad crash that hoping he pulls through GWS buddy

    Just seen on mcn page on Facebook Simon passed away earlier today! Maybe video should be removed now!

    I was there - in the house next to the one who uploaded that clip to youtube

    I have 2 items of footage of part of the incident and the Police in N.I. have my details so I expect I will need to provide it

    This is terrible news but is no surprise at all

    Re the suspension we all saw the bike appear to 'drop' at the rear and then go into the weave - it was about 1km from the corner with the oil - he was going in a straight line at about 180mph when the tankslapper started. I ran for cover as the bike hurtled towards us so thankfully did not see the impact with the curb. I would rather not post any more details here given what has happened but I knew speaking to the Police officer on Saturday and the activity round him at the scene etc. it was very serious.

    If anyone has any genuine questions / from an racing interest please send me a personal message.

    Hope know one minds me putting this picture up but it's one I saw recently of him which I think was at oulton park the other week and thought it was an awesome picture and a good way to remember how good he was on a bike.

    Sad news indeed and wouldnt want it to happen to anyone but he done what he loved and I'm sure wouldn't change it for anything.
