Just on the train to Edinburgh, Scotland......quite an eye opening experience! I'm attending a family wedding and just wondered if anyone can suggest any local 'slang' or phrases that may help me during my time here? I've already attempted to 'fit In' with the locals by purchasing some traditional Scottish headwear in an attempt to show my friendly side!
Apparently there's a local tipple that is rather fancied called 'iron bru' I'll certainly be asking for that at the bar when I get there! All in the name of 'fitting in' of course!
I do have some standards, all be them very low . But I don't want to see @PauloHRC s Lorenzo under pants with a 9 on each buttock
I was going to wear a kilt but have opted for a tartan tie instead. Bloody cold up here so I wouldn't brave a kilt! An acorn springs to mind! Ya wee barstad!
It's sacrilege to wear anything under a kilt don't ya know Although given the cold I guess he could borrow his missus's merkin for 10 minutes just to warm it all up for the photo so I don't have to find my magnifying glass
Hobson's choice comes to mind. One is a sexist republican in an attempt to fit in with American society, the other is Danny Devito
