    Why do you want 10w40 semi synthetic? when the bike should have 10w30 fully synthetic?

    Ah...so both not correct? But advertised for a 09 blade?

    Would 10/40 fully synthetic not do?

    I'm no expert on oil so won't share my little knowledge on it in case I miss advise.

    But if the bikes spec'd for 10/30 and it's readily available why would you buy 10/40?

    Honda recommend 10/30 but lots use 10/40 semi as it doesn't burn so much if you have an oil burner ! Both will still protect your engine fine dude ! I use 10/30 fully, my mate uses 10/40 semi... I use a bit more oil but my bike smells sweeter ;) lol

    apparently my exhaust stinks...friends are not able to ride behind me...maybe oil related...

    so really both oils i listed will do the job.. i know in my car i use a thicker one as it dont smoke as much..

    Stinks ! Castrol is a lovely smell... I love the smell of it in the morning ;) lol

    Your bike shouldn't be smoking tho !

    sorry was talking about my car smoking...Diesel

    Bike smelling, is under acceleration guys can smell it who are following me...

    To really fuck things up.... I use 300v 15w50 and a genuine honda filter. NGK laser iridium sparks.

    This is one of those can of worms thread where everyone has their own favourite brew.

    In my case after years of Castrol, I have switched to Silkolene Comp4 XP 10/30, night day difference in the gear change, so much smoother, either that or I have learned to use the clutch.

    Is saving 15quid worth knowing you could be using the best oil? Your choice.

    Yeah, they do that ! Stick a load of redex in it mate ! Give the injectors a treat.. (The car that is !!!)
