   I know the answer to this question may obvious, but I don't know the answer , so when checking oil level (not screwing dipstick in) the oil on dipstick shows a slightly different level on each side.
   
   Do you take the higher or lower reading ?

   Lower as that would be the true lever as dipstick would be tilted when in the engine.
