Looking at doing both days as well. Better not rain like it did at Donny a couple of weeks ago, such a waste of a day but one session was enough to enjoy the circuit enough for me to want to return again.

Can you camp in the circuit at Oulton Park? and How much they charge if so?

Sorry, I mean levels of ability, I will want to find a novice group, I can ride well, but a bit apprehensive for a first open track day. Do they cater for first timers ?

put a standard can on,or run a baffle, but depends what system your running, and which bike.

You could go to any other trackday and during the noise test ask them to check yours or buy a db meter and hold it a metre from your exhaust, if its a 1000cc hold it at 5000 revs.

    it's 5500rpm for a IL4 thou.

pointless buying a db meter as theres so many variants to take into consideration.

On my Fazer thou I have a blue flame end can and a home made baffle tube, I will take it out and crimp up a few slots to quieten it more, I don't think it's very loud.

I took my baffle out and made it twice as long and reduced the holes to reduce the sound, seems to have worked well.
