I've just booked this - while I would not say I was a novice my confidence has taken a real knock on track (and road in some ways) after a couple of 'offs' at Oulton of all places. It's aimed at road bikes / first timers on track bikes - I will be taking Tony the Urban Tiger up for a wobble round. Feel free to come and get frozen watching, I've got heated grips and T30's so I'm ready! Image below from 2011 at same time of year (which was a good day)
I'd be tempted later in the year as I'm away that week, but it's on my Too Do list. In the mean time have a good one and take it steady with the track being cold.
just looking at weather and fingers crossed will be c. 10' and dry for Friday which is pretty much what you can hope for this time of year
"Our Novice Only Track Days allow anyone to experience the thrill of riding on a race track without the pressure of being surrounded by more experienced circuit riders. If you have never taken part in a track day before, or you have only taken part in a few events, then a Novice Only day is a great place to start. The Novice stipulation is in reference to the rider, not the machine. Most Novice riders arrive on their road bikes; however, some have already acquired track bikes. Others borrow a friend's racing bike just to dip their toe in the water. In every case, they are all Novice circuit riders."
what a good day - photos to follow but good catch up with Barney / Steve and Andy Took a while for the track to dry so first 2 sessions pretty much a write off / getting lines, but then 3 really good ones. Even caught the sun - first time using this bike on top notch track (Folembray in France very different) and it rides brilliantly, so smooth and stable The back of Oulton (Druids) has been modified , the right hand armco moved back some distance and all the trees / vegetation cut so it looked far drier to me - will add a video of it (don't laugh at my lines pls)
Few pics from Barney - pin sharp shots as always, even managed to make me look half decent in the damp! Brilliant advert for the colour scheme too
