You sound like my missus ha ha had the sp for a year ha ha had to move quick as there definitely not anymore SP2 bikes available. The standard SP has dropped very sharply in value so fingers crossed the SP2 doesn’t as it’s a limited model???

Congrats on securing such a special bike.

They've already dropped significantly given that some dealers are selling 2018s for £19,990 and 2017s for £18,860. I have been disappointed to see this, but in reality it's no different to base models being offered for less with the usual 'lose 5 grand as we leave the parking lot'.

Enjoy the bike for what it is, and perhaps factor in any potential losses if you later decide to move it on. There will always be purchasers for these - just depends on the cost and the mileage.;)

Have Honda continued the SP2 for 2019 or are they just selling off 2018 models cheaper?

Congratulations Gary, just had a look at the Doble deal you are one lucky guy, I wish i could afford it.

But interested in your comment made about the sharp fall in prices of the standard SP, why is that?

Asking only as they are becoming more affordable and will soon within my tight budget .

I have made this very query with my dealer and was advised that there will not be a 2019 model. I don't know where they all are because with the tally that @RC45 compiled there seems a massive shortfall in numbers. However, I am not privy to how many were allocated to race teams. Whoever did get them hasn't seemed to have had much success!!

As for the value of the standard SP I would be gutted if I had paid out 19K and now seeing 10K offered as a px, I had mine on PCP so its cost me £1500 but that's better than the poor buggers who paid out right for theres.

No SP2 for 2019 there still talking V4 2020??? There was 500 SP2 bikes its reported that 100 went to race teams so that leaves 400 world wide, a few of these will be tucked away with 0 miles in private collections etc.

The current ones being made available in the uk have come back from Europe back to Honda UK then a few hand picked dealers getting them but once these have gone that's it.

I agree that's why pcp with a Guarantee future value sometimes is not a bad thing I think mine after 3yrs is 10.5k so once up into the next one however I may just keep it also if you switch to anther make I will be back to square one let's hope the Honda in 2020/21 is one that I would want to buy...,although with superbike sales falling most dealers will do there best to do a deal

They might be offering 10k to trade in but Im pretty sure they would be back up for sale for a lot more than that!

Congratulations on the new bike though....
    .enjoy it!

Agree, but I can't wait that long:D. We have all been kept on a string with carrot dangling etc over the 'supposed' V4. Despite it being a few months away, we can only hope some news might be revealed at this year's EICMA/NEC shows.

In the meantime, I'm awaiting the release of the proposed Triumph Daytona 765 Moto 2 replica, which could be as much of a dream as the Honda V4:rolleyes:;).

I second that Wozza......my future value is 10900 after 3 years. I'm quietly confident I'll keep mine after that though.......we shall seeo_O

Don't want to get stuck in the PCP trap forever;)

Theres lots for sale at £11.995 but as explained to me, if you can go in a buy a brand new sp2 with £1000 depoist and pay £149 per month why would you go in to a dealers and buy a 2nd SP by finance that will not be at 0% i think £12000 works out near on £300 per month? Unless you have cash then theres some deals to be had. lowest i was offered was 10K then a few at £11000 but i ended up getting just over £13000 but i was still in negative equity.

I have also taken the option of the free tracker.

Beware the 'free' tracker. A member had probs with this. Might be @keithg1748 who found there's a monthly fee to be paid under contract for the monitoring. Just tipping you off so you don't think I'm a 'know it all'.:D

Yes its £109 per year or £9.95 per month happy with that on a 20K bike, not just for in my garage but when out and about its hard carrying a 19mm Almax chain around ha ha
